My name is Riley, a student obsessed with how people think and making sense of data. I'm studying Cognitive Systems & Data Science.
I got into this because I kept landing at the same intersection β people and systems. Cognitive science taught me to ask why we behave the way we do; data science gave me the tools to actually test it.
I like sitting between product, design, and engineering β figuring out what to build and why, then making it feel good to use. Lately I keep coming back to interfaces that make complex things feel simple.
Outside of coursework I build things β the biggest became Approvly, a company I founded that automates prior-authorization paperwork for physicians, now piloting in real clinics. (The little model answering questions about me on this page is a smaller side quest.)
I believe the best tech gets out of your way. I'm happiest working within constraints β tight timelines, small teams β because that's where the interesting decisions live.
